SUBJECT MATTER: Sculptured garden objects and domestic ware's
BACKGROUND
Ruth learnt her craft at Methven Pottery Club, Mid Canterbury, but has been working out of her own studio on Banks Peninsula in recent years, principally concentrating on domestic pottery. However, for a couple of years Ruth has also started to sculpt some unique ceramic pieces of animals. These fun, quirky pieces look fantastic in a garden setting and they are a joyful balance to Ruth’s equally appealing and useable domestic stoneware.
Ruth is a regular exhibitor at Stoddart’s Cottage as well as other venues around Canterbury.
