HOW TO FIND US
You can travel to Diamond Harbour by car, or alternatively you can park/travel via the No 28 bus, to Lyttelton, and take a relaxing 10 minute cruise on the "Black Cat" Ferry from Lyttelton.
TRAVELLING BY CAR. (40-45 minutes from Christchurch City Centre)
(Please note - There is no petrol filling station in Lyttelton or Diamond Harbour).
From Christchurch City centre take State Highways 73 and 74 sign posted to Lyttelton. Once through the Lyttelton tunnel you will immediately come to a roundabout. Take the right hand exit sign posted for Governors Bay and continue on this road for a further 2 minutes. Take the second turn off on your left, sign posted for Governors Bay.
Keep on this coastal road for approximately 10 minutes until you reach Governors Bay. Once in Governors Bay you will come to an intersection, sign posted left to Diamond Harbour and right to Christchurch (via Dyers Pass). Turn left at this intersection and keep following the signs for Diamond Harbour.
This is the main coastal road, and will give you spectacular views of Banks Peninsula, as you travel through Governors Bay, Allandale, Teddington, Charteris Bay and Church Bay. After approximately 20 minutes you will arrive at Diamond Harbour. The centre of the village and ferry wharf will be well sign posted.
Once in Diamond Harbour the Cottage, Rugby Club, Health Centre and Library will all be sign posted.
